Milan had previously proposed a contract extension until 2028 with a salary increase from €2.8m net to €5m, but Maignan is seeking a significantly higher amount.

Chelsea, Juventus, and other top clubs are reportedly interested in signing Maignan, which has led to his increased demands.

As of January 1, Maignan will be free to negotiate pre-contract agreements with teams outside of Serie A.
