His agent, Thorsten Wirth, acknowledged that the transfer did not work out as planned.
"Many people would agree that Fullkrug is a type of striker who excels in the penalty area," Wirth said.
"He's strong in the air and physically capable, which makes him suitable for the Premier League."
However, Wirth also stated that the team's expectations for Fullkrug were not met.
"Looking back, we have to say the transfer didn't work out," Wirth said.
Regarding a possible departure in January, Wirth noted that any decision would need to be made in cooperation with the club.
"It's possible that a change could be beneficial," Wirth said.
Fullkrug has struggled with injuries throughout his time at West Ham, which has hindered his performance.
"He had some bad luck and a negative momentum," Wirth explained.
