The comment, "Real Madrid are always stealing," was made just days before the El Clásico match between Barcelona and Real Madrid.
After the match, which Barcelona lost and ended in a brawl, Ibai took to his stream to provide his account of events.
He explained that he had proposed the idea of moving up the Kings League match between Porcinos and La Capital to Friday, to avoid conflicting with the El Clásico.
Ibai stated that he thought it would be fun to have Yamal, the president of the Kings League, participate in the match, and for him to take a penalty kick.
However, the plan went awry when Yamal made a comment about Real Madrid, saying "Porcinos are like Real Madrid, they steal, they complain...".
The comment was picked up by numerous media outlets, and the story gained international attention, reaching as far as the United States, Argentina, and Mexico.
Ibai has since acknowledged that the incident caused a "spectacular mess," and that it even reached the Real Madrid locker room, with players like Carvajal, Vinicius, and Courtois making gestures in response.
Ibai has stated that he will not make the same mistake again and that the incident was not intended to cause harm or controversy.
