According to reports, Aston Villa's manager Unai Emery has been eyeing Openda as a potential replacement for Watkins. Villa had previously considered signing Openda several months ago but decided against it while Watkins was still at the club.
It's understood that Aston Villa would require a significant fee, around £45 million, to consider selling Watkins.
