"We've discussed it with him, and he knows he made a mistake," Iraola said. "He's aware that he should not have gestured towards the supporters. However, I also see that he's passionate and frustrated, and that's a good thing. He's always available to push and compete, and I'm sure he'll learn from this experience."
Iraola's team has been undergoing a rebuild, with many new signings and a young squad. He believes that this is a natural part of the process and that the team will adapt and improve over time.
"We've had a lot of new signings, and some of them are very young," Iraola explained. "This is a process we talked about in the summer, and we know it will take time. We'll have ups and downs, but we must accept that and work through it."
Despite their recent loss to Everton, Iraola is focusing on the positives and believes that Chelsea's loss to Leeds United in midweek could give his team an advantage. He expects Chelsea to be at their best and is urging his team to match their level of performance.
"We know Chelsea will be a tough opponent, but we have to be at our very best," Iraola said. "They're playing well, and they'll demand a lot from us defensively."
